This article shows a sample day’s food choices for an athlete doing an aerobic workout. This is our athlete:
- A 56.6-kg female runner with an average body fat percentage of 24.4% (meaning she has 75.6% lean body mass).
- The runner has a Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) of 1282cal.
- She did a 90-minute aerobic workout at steady intensity (08:00min/miles or 4:58min/km) which adds another 1147cal.
- Total of 2430cal needed for the day.
The runner needs time to adapt to the Paleo Diet and has opted to keep a few non-Paleo foods. These are shown in bold.
